Puzzle caches have become popular. So much so that I thought I’d try my hand at one. Establishing the true coordinates for this cache require that you first solve a puzzle. That shouldn’t take too long. When you have the puzzle solved, you only have to put numbers into an algebraic formula and solve it.
This is an ideal cache for late winter and early spring. Most of the work will be done inside by the fireside, where you will be nice and cozy. Who cares if it’s windy, raining or even if it snows. The cache is a micro that should be quite easy to find—once you know the coordinates. As a matter of fact, the hardest part may be signing the log. After, of course, you solve the puzzle and do the math.
Now lets talk about solving the puzzle. You must solve the attached puzzle to find the Olde Tyme Mystery Cache coordinates. The puzzle doesn’t have any clues. It works like this: Each letter of the alphabet has been replaced by a number. That number represents the same letter throughout the puzzle. You simply decide which letter is represented by which number.
You are given the letters for three numbers. Fill these letters in throughout the puzzle where you find those numbers. You now have enough clues to figure out words and discover the other letters. After you find all 26 letters and number combinations, you can solve the following formula;
N41° (Z+V+R).(A+C+H²), W90° ([G×L]+[B×D]) + ([U×Y]÷[N²×K])
