Geocache Description:

Da:

Cachen er ikke gemt på ovenstående koordinater. De viser en mulig parkeringsplads.

Et 60 meter højt tårn placeret 100 meter over havet.

The cache is not located at the co-ordinates above. They show the location of a suitable place to park.

A 60 m high observation tower provided with elevator sited 100 m above sea level with a view over most of Vendsyssel.

The Cloos Tower was erected in memory of the Cloos family. As Christian Cloos died unmarried in 1941, he willed the area around Flade Bakker to the town of Fredrikshavn, together with a large sum of money. However, he made it a condition that a tower commanding a wide view was built there in remembrance of his parents.

The architect Leopold Teschl’s idea included rotating restaurant in the tower. However the construction of the restaurant was ejected by the Town Council.

The Cloos Tower was completed and opened on April 18, 1962.

The tower is open for the public during the summer.

It is good to be able to see. Now you can  see Vendsyssel from above.

To find the cache you have to translate the signs above to a pair of coordinates

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

To the first finder there is a FFC and two admission tickets to the tower.
