Geocache Description:

Cache is hidden near the location of the former Rogersville Fire Department along the walking trail.

The water supply is still there and is still used on occasion. Our Fire Fighters are all dedicated volunteers. Our current Fire Chief, Raymond Gallant, was present when Rogersville’s first fire truck, a 1949 Ford, was called out for the first time on September 7th, 1953. He was 16 years old at the time. 2006 marks Chief Gallant’s 50th anniversary with RFD. Rogersville’s first fire truck has since retired but it is still on display at the current fire hall.
The cache container is a medium sized vitamin supplement bottle. There is room for small traders. Bottle opening is 1 1/2 inches wide.
If you decide to leave a note in your log for Chief Gallant or his team, I'll make sure to print it off and pass it along.
Watch for Muggles... High traffic area during walking seasons.
