Bilek's villa (Bilkova vila)
Frantisek Bilek (1872-1941) was an important Art Nouveau and Symbolistic artist, mystic, sculptor, architect, author of applied art, graphic designer, illustrator and religious thinker. Bilek´s villa in the street Mickiewiczova in Hradcany was founded in 1911 according to the author´s own design and was the result of his search for authentic expression of explanation of the substance of the world. Pisek Gate (Pisecka brana)
Christopher Dientzenhofer built the Pisek Gate in the fortifications between the bastions of St. Ludmilla (XVII) and St. George (XVI) in 1719 - 1721 according to plans drawn up by Giovanni Battista Alliprandi. During the demolition of Prague's fortifications in the 19th century only its wall remains as the city disposed of its filling.
