The Treasure of the Black Pearl cache is based on the Pirates of
the Caribbean: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL movie.
Captain Jack Sparrow the swashbuckling high-seas pirate has come
ashore and hidden a map to his treasure chest. If you dare to
search for Jack Sparrows hidden treasure, you must first find his
hidden treasure maps, which you will have to follow using your
compass, to locate his treasure chest. Following the maps
correctly, will lead you to his hidden treasure chest. Jack has
chosen his favorite spot, a woodland marsh, which reminds him of
the Caribbean.
This treasure chest cache is located in the scenic Loantaka
Brook Reservation. This Morris County Park got its name from the
Native American Lenni-Lenape Tribe. Loantaka means "the place of
the cold winter" which refers to the Great Swamp and surrounding
area.
The park offers 5 miles of multi-use paved trails stretching
through the Townships of Morris, Harding, and Chatham. Parking is
available on Kitchell Road.
The Black pearl's treasure chest contains lots of pirate booty
and a small pieces of eight geocoin exchange.

Jack Sparrow has also placed a small geocoin exchange within his
treasure chest cache. Jack would like to keep the geocoin booty in
his chest, Please don’t plunder his booty.
Please follow the geocoin exchange rules:
1. Please, ONLY exchange geocoins. Kindly trade geocoins one for
one!
2. If you don't have a geocoin to exchange, do not take one. Feel
free to write down the tracking # to log them and leave them in the
cache.
3. If you would like to drop and add a geocoin to Jack’s treasure
chest, feel free to do so.
4. If the geocoin is activated, (with a tracking number), please
comply with the owner's wishes and keep it in circulation.
5. Please log the activated geocoins in and out of the cache, the
same way travel bugs are logged.
6. Feel free to visit as often as you like to trade coins. Log a
note on future visits.
