One of three caches set on Craggy Woods with a rather surprising view (on a good day!) up towards Kentmere.
Our daughter, Holly, used to love coming to these woods and making fabulous dens in a variety of 'secret' locations. Some of them are still there years later. The location of the cache is not at one of the dens as it might be too easy for muggle children to find it accidently. The woods are great for wildlife at all times of the year. Parts of the wood used to be the source of timber for broom handles made at Staveley Wood Turning. The yard in Staveley is now full of small business units including excellent Cafes, where we suggest you retire to after finding this or our other caches in the area. As well as the parking in Staveley Mill Yard, you can park at the bend in the road at SD 47702 98494 or by the weir at SD 46972 98834.
