Cache is a lock and lock container, boots advised. Please do not drive up the road. Dogs on leads, and no Bikes. There is a gate to cross. DO NOT CLIMB ON THE SCREE MOUNDS. Parking as for Logiealmond Wood

Craiglea Quarry has been worked for slate since the late 1600's and possibly before that by the Romans. It's system of levels and tunnels is unique in Scotland. The tunnels need a bit scrambling around to find (helmet needed) There is a lot of loose slate!!

In Scottish quarries, every 1000th slate was stamped with the mark of the quarry, a custom unique to Scotland.

Cache is located above the Quarry.
