[Cz] Cechuv most je po proudu Vltavy desatym prazskym mostem. Je to jediny zelezny obloukovy most v Praze a svou delkou 169 m je nejkratsim prazskym mostem. Jeho sirka je 16 m. Most byl vystaven v letech 1905 – 1908. Zakonceni stavby kamennych piliru se dne 17. 4. 1907 ucastnil cisar Frantisek Josef I. Ocelovou konstrukci vyrobily tri prazske mostarny, kazda po jednom oblouku (kazdy oblouk ma jinou delku). Vypocet oblouku i piliru provedl ing. Jiri Soukup. Projektem mostu byl poveren profesor Jan Koula, architekt a malir. Jeho zasluhou se most stal prvnim projevem noveho slohu pocatku stoleti - secese.
Chodniky byly dlazdeny tribarevnou mozaikovou dlazbou s barevnymi obrazci sachovnic a rybicek.
V letech 1971 – 1975 si vynutila zejmena znacna koroze mostu generalni rekonstrukci. Oprava plasticke vyzdoby probehla v letech 1984 – 1987.

[En] Cechuv Bridge is the tenth bridge in Prague along the flow of Vltava. It is the only iron arc bridge in the city and with its length of 185 yds. it is the shortest bridge in Prague. It has 17.5 yds. in width. The bridge was built between 1905 and 1908. The construction of stone pillars was ceremonially finished in the presence of the emperor Franz Josef I on 17 April 1907. The steel construction of each of the three arcs was made by different company from Prague (the span of each arc being different).
The artistic embellishment is superlative in terms of both extent and quality. Note four bronze statues of Victory standing on tall posts at both ends of the bridge. Further embellishment is rich and magnificent, as well – look e.g. at the pillars and the outer side of ballustrade.
(The information was taken from the Prague Information Service.)

There is a pretty heavy traffic on the bridge, however I think if you are vigilant & patient you can visit the cache almost unspotted.
Please be pick up and hide carefully, the cache tends to fall and float to Hamburg.
