Geocache Description:

Dalsi orientacka keska, jak jsme slibili ;-)

O-RING II. Dzbanek by Lu&Blue

Vitejte na pokracovani nejslavnejsiho orientacniho zavodu sveta O-RINGu. Letos vas ceka narocna trat v sareckych lesich.

Toliko original. 15. 4. 2010 adaptovano, prestaveno a oziveno by jizersky_drak.

K 17. 6. 2012 prestaveno, obnoveno, adoptovano tymem Mag&Kuo.

Cache umyslne nema “casovy” atribut.

A=1). Jedna kontrola = jedna indicie.

...at nam vydrzi...

  • Obvyklý odev do trojkoveho terenu

[EN]

This is a true orienteering cache. You will need GPS only to find starting and final cache. If you are not familiar with orienteering, before setting off for that cache, find and read some basic manual on Internet and learn at least the basic map symbols (different types of path/track, old/young forest, holes and ditches...).

The track is not very long, if you were really fast, you could pass it in half an hour, but rather count with 1 to 2 hours to finalize it.

On the starting coordinates, there is a cache containing 5 identical orienteering maps (unless someone is in action). Take one, then hide the rest back, prepare yourself for the competition, then move to the nearby shed – the start (marked by a triangle on the track's beginning). When you are there, start you stopwatch – your competition begins. Now you are to do as in common orienteering competition. Using the map and compass you have to find all the checkpoints (in the given order!). At the checkpoints, look for small pieces of paper (~2x4cm) with indices (like A=1) that are here to help you to locate the final cache. The formula for it is written on the map. Once you reached finish (track branch near last checkpoint, marked by double circle in the map), stop your watch, then go for the final, do not forget to put the map back into starting cache (in either order ;-)) and then... have a nice day ;-) Please note your running time both in logs in the final cache and here.
