This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, or you have neglected to do necessary maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

A 2 stage multi in Almaden Quick Silver

A short .4 mile walk from the McAbee trailhead will bring you to this unusual cache. This multi is the opposite of many others, in that the first stage is a ammo box and the second stage is a film cannister.

*** Because of the nature of the second stage you may need the specialized retrieval equipment located in the first stage box. If you have issues with repulsive things, this cache may not be for you! ***

If you do use the equipment, please put it back for others. The difficulty is based only on the find, not the repulsiveness.

The second stage is 225' from the first. 50' off the trail is a unique tree with multiple trunks growing both horizontally and vertically from the base. Some of the trunks have bay leaves, some have oak leaves. There is some poison oak 10' below the 2nd stage, but approaching the cache from the southeast or above is completely clear.

Trade items in the 1st stage only please, bring a pen. Park hours are 8am to sunset. Please, no spoilers.
