A ria num dia chuvoso / The "Ria" in a rainy day

O percurso até á cache terá que ser feito a pé ou de bicicleta (BTT preferencialmente). Sugerimos que deixe o seu carro perto do ponto N 37º07.784' W008º35.788'.

Dai até à cache terá que passar pela zona dos restaurantes. Irá passar a antiga "lota", onde poderá eventualmente ver alguns velhos pescadores a remendar as redes, amanhar o peixe ou outra qualquer actividade relacionada.
Irá passar pelo antigo Salva Vidas de Alvor (é no portão vermelho) do ISN (Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos). Se estiver aberto não deixe de visitar, mas, poderá sempre dar uma espreitadela pelo portão. Se quiser visitar o centro da vila basta subir uma destas ruas. A rua ao lado do Salva vidas leva-o à Igreja Matriz.
A partir do Salva Vidas é só seguir o que o GPS lhe diz, pelo passeio junto à Ria.

O fim do dia é uma óptima altura para procurar esta cache.  Depois de encontrar a cache poderá continuar o passeio se assim o desejar, pela arriba da Ria, no trilho da Estação da Biodiversidade.

You must walk to the cache so we sugest that you leave your car somewhere near this point: N 37º07.784' W008º35.788'.

From there to the cache you´ll have to pass the restaurant area. You will pass the old fish market where (if you are lucky) you can see the old fisherman cleaning the fish, fixing his nets or any other related task.
You will pass the ancient life saving boat (inside the red gate)of the ISN (Institute for Socorros a Náufragos). Take a look if the gates are open or, if they are closed, just look trough the gates. If you wish to visit the village center just go up one of this streets. The street at the side of the Life Saving Boat house will lead you to the main Church.
From the Life Boat House, just follow the GPS,along the walk along the Ria.

Sunset is a good time to try this cache. After finding the cache you can continue your walk if you like. along the Ria cliff, on the Biodiversity Station trail.

Trilho da Estação da Biodiversidade de Alvor
A Estação de Biodiversidade de Alvor é um percurso pedestre com cerca de 1km linear (2km ida e volta) e com 8 painéis dispersos ao longo do caminho, onde se pode consultar informação científica sobre a diversidade biológica que se encontra neste local. Os painéis são uma espécie de Guia de Campo, onde encontra imagens e comentários sobre plantas e animais comuns, especialmente insetos.
O percurso da Estação da Biodiversidade de Alvor acompanha a Ria junto à linha de costa até ao dique, atravessando caminhos de terra batida e trilhos em área de matos típicos do Barrocal Algarvio.

Alvor Biodiversity Station Trail
The Alvor Biodiversity Station is a pedestrian route with about 1km linear (2km round trip) and with 8 panels scattered along the way, where you can consult scientific information about the biological diversity found in this location. The panels are a kind of Field Guide, where you can find images and comments about common plants and animals, especially insects.
The route from the Alvor Biodiversity Station follows the Ria along the coastline to the dike, crossing unpaved paths and trails in an area of woods typical of the Barrocal Algarve.
