This was our first cache, but has been through several rebirths! First it was stolen or thrown away, and later the path to the first cache was washed away in the heavy rains of winter 2009. Now the first stage has been replaced as a micro, containing coords to the second stage. The second stage cache is different and harder, but gives the last 5 numbers of the Lat. and Long. of the final cache. We wanted to display the paths to this area, which are most commonly followed by local fishermen and dog walkers. The area is best reached by foot from the car park at Ponte de Piedade (N37º 04,886' W008º40,177') and the appropriate path can be found after about 15-20 minutes walk.
At low tide, an approach can be made along the beach from Porto do Mòs towards Ponte de Piedade.
Not recommended for those who don't like heights or have a poor sense of balance although relatively easy for a confident walker.!
