Der Grimselpass (2165müM) verbindet Innertkirchen
(Kt. Bern) mit Gletsch (Kt. Wallis). Die Passhöhe liegt auf der
europäischen Wasserscheide (Aare -> Nordsee; Rhone ->
Mittelmeer). Ein kleiner See schmückt die Passhöhe.
Die Nordseite ist eher langgezogen. Sie führt an einer Reihe von
Speicherseen vorbei, welche sich ihr Wasser von den umliegenden
Gletschern erhalten.
Die Südrampe ab Gletsch ist kurz, serpentinenreich und steil. Die
Aussicht zum Rhonegletscher und zum Furkapass ist genial.
Dieser Pass gehört mit Sicherheit zu den "Traumstrassen" für die
(Motorrad-)Fahrer. Es wird das volle Alpen-Programm geboten:
Serpentinen, abwechslungsreiche Kurven, viele Aussichtspunkte,
höchste Berge, Gletscher undundund...
Grimselpass (2165 m) connects Innertkirchen (Kt. Bern) with
Gletsch (Kt. Wallis). The top of the pass is part of the european
division (River Aare flows to the North Sea; River Rhone flows to
the Mediterranean Sea). There's a nice little lake at the top of
the pass.
The northern part is the longer one. There are some lakes on the
way up. They all get their water from the glaciers around.
The southern part is pretty short with lots of U-turns and it's
very steep. There are lookouts over to Furka Pass and to the
Glacier (Rhonegletscher).
