The cache is located on a tiny island (Suuri Myhkyrä) in the eastern part of lake Viinijärvi situated within the province Liperi of North Karelia.
During summer and most time of the year (May - Nov) the island is only reachable by means of water transportation and it is lying within rowing distance from the closest shores.
You may also walk over in wintertime, if the ice is thick enough.
The given coordinates point to a recommended landing site from which the cache is easily accessible by foot.
