Geocache Description:

The listed co-ordinates are BOGUS and are for a POSH Hotel just off the A420. However, the cache can be found within 1 mile of the posted co-ordinates.

This is the third in a series of five caches celebrating a great music programme that came to an end this year. To find the cache you will first need to solve the anagrams listed below.

There are 10 anagrams of song titles that achieved success in this decade. Once you have deciphered the name of the song, find out what its highest chart position in the British singles charts was and transfer that number to the blank co-ordinates as illustrated by the example below. If the highest position achieved was 10, then drop the 1 and use the zero.

N51º AB.CDE
W002º FG.HIJ

Example

B = 'a shocker Julio' which when re-arranged becomes 'Jailhouse Rock'

Highest chart position = 1 so B=1

A = KOALA EVIL WIT
B = STEALTH COVE
C = A WONDER HOOTER
D = SEAWAY NERDY
E = TRIANGLES TELL GRIT
F = PINKY MUM IN RAG DUO
G = SOIL POT GONE
H = A FAKE ELFIN WORRY TOY
I = BARGES GO RUSTY
J = HATES WRONG

In the tradition of every great pub quiz the cache setters answers are final, so no quibbling!

So, once you’ve cracked all the anagrams; researched their highest chart position and transposed that number into the final cache co-ordinates, you will be looking for a lock-lock container, hidden in a camo bag. Easy.

Please note that the area is hopefully not frequented by lots of doggie muggles or walkers in general, so that element of stealth should not be required (makes a change). That said it's not surprising the area is so quiet as the footpath the cache is hidden on resembled a running stream when we were there. As a result we suggest that wellies or sturdy water-proof footwear are essential all year round. Tree cover could also prove a problem with the old GPS so be warned!

There is parking not far from the cache. By way of reward for completing this cache we have thrown in a cheesy 80’s compilation laser disc for the FTF to enjoy on their trusty Bang & Olufsen.

There is also a rather tempting TB that you may want to cash in at that POSH hotel mentioned at the beginning.
