Geocache Description:

This cache is NOT on an island. This is NOT a mystery cache. The cache IS at the posted coordinates.

That's right, you ARE going to get wet.
Terrain rating - you will need to be able to hold your breath for a few seconds at a time. You will probably need googles. You will trudge through some mucky stuff and may have to swim a short distance. I don't consider any of that "special equipment". To me, special equipment means you need to go to a specialty shop or be specialty fitted.
Difficulty is more from the mental challenge. Getting out to do it and the thought of that mucky bottom .
The first couple of steps are a doozy. After that it's not as bad as you initially think. And all that "stuff" is harmless. Do "tread" lightly as if you muddy the waters too quickly you may be making another trip back or hanging out by the lake a while for things to settle down .
The cache container is a bright red eyeglass container. The cache is not on the bottom, but about two feet above. Please try not to move the "anchor", but if you must then PLEASE place it back EXACTLY where it was. If you don't, I may not be able to find it to maintain it. Right now I can find it by triangulation without my GPSr, so I ask please keep it that way.
The coords should be almost exact, but if you plan to bring your GPS with you, make sure it is securely fastened. If you drop it, you will never find it.
Also keep in mind as I mentioned that there is a good possibility you may need to come back more than once. It is a difficulty 4.5 cache. Therefore no hints initially. If you are out there once or twice and can't find it after a thorough search, e-mail me and I'll send you a hint (and maybe even reimbursement for your entrance fee but no promises ). To keep the costs down, just say you're a Cameron Park resident. You may want to be prepared with a legitimate Cameron Park address (If you can't figure out how to get one of those you probably won't find a D-4.5 cache ). I haven't been asked to show actual proof of my residence in years.
Did I mention there are showers back at the pavilion
Sorry, no FTF prize or treasure per se, but your name will go here:

CONGRATS TO B.O.S.N. FOR THE FTF!

As always, HAVE FUN !

Oh yeah - one more thing...this cache will probably be disabled and removed for the winter months. Approx November-March.
