Geocache Description:

This is a traditional, large cache located in the woods in Winston-Salem.

As children growing up, my wife and I were always particularly fond of Christmas. Today, Christmas has changed so much that it barely resembles the Christmases of our childhoods. Old traditions have been replaced by new ones and people just don't seem to stay at home as much anymore. This cache is a tribute to one of the things we miss most from those Christmases gone by.

Mistletoe (pronounced Missile-Tow) was always hung at our homes at Christmas. My friends and I would be sent to the woods with shotguns to bring back that beautiful little plant. In both our homes, it was always hung in a prominent area, in the doorway. And if by chance, you were to end up under the mistletoe with someone of the opposite sex, you had a requirement to provide a smooch.

This cache is placed just to help folks remember Mistletoe.
