Cache je umístena na vrcholu hory Smrk.
The cache is located on the top of the mountain Smrk.
Smrk je nejvyšší hora ceské strany Jizerských hor.V soucasnosti je, bohužel, odlesnená vinou exhalací z nedalekých elektráren.
V roce 2004 byla na vrcholku postavena nová ocelová rozhledna, která nadlouho nahradila puvodní drevenou vež, která tu stála od roku 1892 až do doby po druhé svetové válce. Horská chata, která stála na vrcholku od roku 1932, vyhorela v roce 1946. Naštestí je rozhledna vybavena malou ošklivou útulnou, kde se dá preckat nepohoda. Pitná voda je na souradnicích N50 53.498 E15 16.286.
Smrk byl vždy hranicní horou, již v roce 1537 vystoupila na vrcholek komise, která urcila kudy vede hranice a tím zavdala základ nekolik století trvajícím dohadum. V dnešní dobe je nedaleko vrcholu hranicní prechod pro turisty.
Prístup je možný pešky z Nového Mesta pod Smrkem, z lázní Libverda a ze Smedavy.
Jediná povolená cesta pro cyklisty vede z rozcestí Tišina nebo z polské strany hor.
Smrk is the highest mountain of the Czech side of Jizerské Hory. It is however now without a forest because of exhalations from nearby power plants.
A new steel lookout tower, which replaced the previous wooden tower, standing there from 1892 to the times after the WW2, was built in 2004. The mountain lodge, which stood on the top since 1932, was destroyed by a fire in 1946. Fortunately is the lookout tower equipped with a little shelter, where bad weather can be survived. Drinkable water is on the coordinates N50°53.498 E15°16.286.
Smrk has always been a border mountain. Back in 1537 a comission climbed up the mountain and set up the border, making reason for several hundrends years lasting speculations. In recent times, a tourist border crossing is located near the hilltop.
The access to the mountain is possible by foot from cities Nove Mesto pod Smrkem, Lazne Libverda and Smedava.
Only authorized road for bikers is leading from the Tišina crossroad or from the polish side.

Pro nalezení Jizerské tisícovky v zime je na smerníku, který je nejblíž pokladu, pritlucen štítek s císlem.
To find the "Jizera thousand" in the winter, look for a tag with number, nailed to the pointer closest to the treasure.
