Geocache Description:

Those were the days. You walked home from school for lunch everyday. Mom had hot soup, a sandwich, and a glass of milk waiting for you. My favorite was alphabet soup. I would try to find all 26 letters and also spell words. Mom didn’t serve it often. She said that I dawdled too much and it got cold. (no microwaves back then) Well, now you can create a soup of caches you have found, one beginning with each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. Read on...

An Alphabet Soup Challenge

The challenge:
To find one Washington State cache beginning with each letter of the alphabet at any time during your caching career.

To complete this cache:

1. Show your qualifications for claiming a find for this cache in one of two ways:

- option 1 - Create a public bookmark called "An Alphabet Soup Challenge" which contains one cache you have found in Washington State beginning with each letter of the alphabet. Include this cache in your bookmark; as you haven’t found it yet, you will need another “A” cache.

- option 2 - use the challenge checker found below. Include the entire example log in your anticipatory message or your found log. This will make your list of qualifying caches public.

2. Qualifying caches for your find include all types of caches except Events or Adventure Lab stages. Adventure Lab bonus caches do count. The letter must be the first letter of the first word in the cache name.

Examples:
- Zebra Stripes = Z
- The Zebra's Stripes = T
- Extra Zebras = E
- Xtra Zebra Stripes = X
- “Blurry Zebra Stripes” = B
- 1 More Striped Zebra = 1, so it doesn’t count for anything!
- One More Zebra Stripe = O

- A look at your alphabetized bookmark list or your results from the challenge checker will indicate whether or not you have each letter as indicated above.

3. If you sign the log before you meet the qualifications, post a note on this page that you have signed the log in advance. Optionally, when you complete your list, you can post a note stating your qualifications and the technique you used before finding the cache and signing the log. Yes, I will post a confirmation message on the cache page if you enjoyed the old style of seeing that message on the cache page.

4. The posted coordinates are the correct coordinates for the cache location. A Discover Pass is required for parking.

FYI: The original location for this cache involved a hike of almost three miles round trip with two waypoints before the final. It is now a short walk in the park that does require a Discover Pass! Please bring sufficient water (or soup) with you for the journey.
