Geocache Description:

Traverse the old trail from Spanish Ranch in Meadow Valley. This was the primary route to Rich Bar during the mining days.
You will pass the Spanish Ranch site where F.S. Road 25N17 begins (per map). Other sites seen will be the Old Meadow Valley Lumber Mile, Bean Creek Hydraulic and Mt. House area. At Red Saddle (local name) take 25N59 until just short (about 1200') of its end at barrier. The trail (an old ragged roadway) at first heads downhill from 25N59 (west towards Fales Creek). Following the trail go approximately .6 of a mile to point on a ridge where trail descends very quickly towards Rich Bar. The cache is an ammo can. BYOP

Caution: Rattlesnakes love this country, although none have been seen or heard.
