Geocache Description:

A trip to the Southernmost point of the Australian Mainland

A lengthy hike awaits seekers of this cache.
Arrive at South point, turn right and keep the ocean on your left.

Simple enough!!!!

Up to this point you have been walking on a track.

From South Point, it is rocks, rocks and more rocks, with a little scrub to keep you amused.

Be warned, these are not small rocks, ALOT of scrambling will be involved and negotiating sea cliffs.

An off track walking permit will be required to reach this cache.

There are other, scrubbier ways to GZ, but this route will reduce the environmental impact and is much more scenic.

Once at GZ, there are some poor campsites with water from the creek.

It is approx 5hrs walking from South point to GZ.

Your reward is a pristine coastal environment with stunning views at every rock.

Enjoy!!!!

NB - Be very cautious traversing any rock that slopes directly into the sea. Any slip could endanger your life.

On the positive side, the granite offers good traction, except when wet.
