Diese Schlacht von Cedynia fand am 24. Juni 972 statt. Es war die erste historisch aufgezeichnete Schlacht in der Geschichte von Polen. Der Polnische Herzog Mieszko I. und sein Burder Czibor werten Hodon ab, den Markgraf von Brandenburg. Diese Schlacht sicherte die westliche Grenze des Polnischen Territoriums.
Zum tausendjährigen Jubiläum der siegreichen Schlacht bei Cedynia wurde 1972 das Denkmal eingeweiht.

The Battle of Cedynia occurred on 24 June 972 in Cedynia. It was the first historically recorded battle in the history of Poland. Polish duke Mieszko I and his brother Czcibor defeated Hodon , the German Margrave of Brandenburg. This battle secured the western border of Polish territory. This monument was built in june 1972.
