This memorial was built in 1876 under the sponsorship of Shinpachi Nagakura to memorialize the Shinsengumi samurai, including Isami Kondo and Toshizo Hijikata, who died fighting for their beliefs. A memorial service is held on or near April 25, the anniversary of Kondo's death. The memorial was designated a tangible cultural asset by Kita City in 2003.
It is very near the JR Itabashi station.

近藤 勇ら新撰組隊士数名は官軍に追われ捕らえられこの地板橋刑場で処刑されたそうです。後年新撰組の生き残り長倉 新八らが現在の墓碑を整えたと言われています。場内は誰でも立ち入る事ができる場所で遠くからも沢山の新撰組ファンが訪れる場所です。捜索の際には是非敬意を払って紳士淑女的にマナーを守って下さい。
キャッシュは目の高さで屋根が掛かった場所にあります。マグルの目にも触れる場所なのでトラッカブルアイテムは入れないで下さい。
