The KB Circle Challenge

What is The KB Circle Challenge?

The goal of this cache: Find a cache within the KB Circle boundary (99.9 miles) from The Armory GCAB11)

1. NO cache located more than 99.9 miles from The Armory is eligible.
2. No cache located less than 96.9 miles from The Armory is eligible.
3. No cache located more than 3 miles from the state highway or interstate of interest is eligible.
4. Each cache for each state highway or interstate must be within a reasonable distance of the circle boundary crossing…
5. North, South, East and West (as listed in the State Highways and Interstates) also divide the circle boundary into the North/South halves and the East/West halves. For example: US 71 North is in the North Half of the circle while US 71 South is in the South Half of the circle. Thus, US 71 South is near Redwood Falls and US 71 North is near Long Prairie…Other circle boundary crossings will be treated likewise.

In order to claim this cache, you must send me a file containing all of your qualifying hides and finds. (.GPX format is preferred or .LOC if you filter out your locationless, event and CITO caches ahead of time for me. At a minimum I need a list containing cache name, waypoint, and coordinates.) I will review the list in order to verify the caches. After everything has been verified, you may find the cache. The find cannot be claimed until the physical container is located and the logbook inside has been signed.

Some guidelines need to be laid out:

  1. The posted coordinates are the actual coordinates for the cache.

  2. Generally accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find apply. These must be bona fide caches listed on that you have personally (physically) found and logged. You may include caches found or hidden prior to the creation of The KB Circle Challenge so long as they meet all other Challenge requirements.

  3. Placement of a cache counts the same as finding a cache, but only if there are NO prior caches within three miles. All caches must meet the guidelines and be published. In particular, the guideline regarding 'vacation caches' must be followed."

  4. All cache types count as finds or hides for The KB Circle Challenge with the exception of events (CITO included) and locationless caches.

  5. While you may have others with you when you find the Challenge cache, only those who have fulfilled ALL criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it as a find. Find logs by other cachers will be deleted.

  6. When in doubt, ask - we can discuss it or even seek guidance from others, but the final decision rests with the cache owner.

  7. Remember that this is a game and is supposed to be fun!

NO CACHE find or hide over 99.9 miles or under 96.9 miles from GCAB11 and more than three miles from the highway/interstate of interest will be allowed.

Due to groundspeak guidelines, this cache IS at the posted coordinates.
It is now downgraded to a log-only small, with NO trade items.
NO coins should remain in the cache.
This cache is registered with Three Rivers Parks.
