How Geocaching Works

This is a relatively easy cache located along a very scenic route in one of Albuquerque's best open spaces!
This cache is named Hidden Orchard because of the orchard that is hidden along the route to the cache.
This orchard is quite abundant in apples during the proper time of the year.
But please exercise caution as it also seems to be quite abundant in wildlife.
This was quite evident by the VERY large piles of scat in the area.
Goes to show that apples make a fine diuretic even for bear!
The trail itself begins with parking at N 35° 06.081 W 106° 22.791.
Great opportunity to exercise the dog (those of you with rather large energetic dogs will understand that one).
As well as an opportunity for some tree climbing for the kids at the final destination.
NOTE: Area closures from August 1 thru November 30 Due to bear activity.
