Geocache Description:

Be sure to read the full listing.
The Coords are not the cache. This is a 5 stage multi that includes 3 virtuals. My second 4WD related cache in the Chattahoochee NF.
Please don't put spoilers in the log entries.

The cache is a 30cal ammo can, fairly plain to see once you're near it. It contains a slection of matchbox 4WD vehicles, plus a mint, in the box, 1:43 scale Land Rover Defender 110 for the first to find.
It also contains the Sheltowee Fish TB (retrieved from High Shoals Old Coins Cache), unfortunately the TB listing has been locked so I can't log it.

The terrain near the cache is hilly and it was pretty clear when I placed it, a few briars, may be moderate undergrowth in the summer.

Steps for finding the cache.
You will need a compass (or GPS that shows compass bearings).
You will need to combine these instructions with instructions found at Stage Three.
  1. Near the listed coords you will see a large mound with a single tree on it, Stage 1. From the base of the tree take a bearing of 40 degrees East.
  2. Follow that 4WD trail to the end
  3. At the end of the road you will find the remains of a fire ring, Stage 2. From there follow a bearing of 8 degrees East near the root of a downed tree, Stage 3, which you can see from the fire ring in the winter. You can just about see it during the summer.
  4. Here you will find instructions on finding Two Forks, Stage 4.
  5. Stand midway between Two Forks, face 230 degrees West and walk 6 paces. Turn around and take a reverse azimuth of 50 degrees East. You'll see a fallen tree, Stage 5, up the hill, about 51 paces from between Two Forks (pace steps were taken coming back from the tree to Two Forks).
You'll need high clearance 4WD to get up the road. I had to ford about 16" of water to place it. In the spring expect the water to be deeper.
It will be easier with two people as you cannot clearly see Two Forks from stage three, so having a second person will give you something distinguishable to take a bearing on. If you're good at keeping on a bearing, you can do it alone.
I suggest not taking more than 3 smallish vehicles up the 4WD trail as there is limited space to turn around without damaging the flora.

Remember with this, and all 4WD caches, tread lightly.
There is a steep hill on the road you take from the coords. Please keep that in mind after rains and don't dig it up with spinning tires.
My advice is to not do 4WD caches with a single vehicle.

Enjoy.
