The opportunity to win a family UK adventure break

Where stated, 'geocaching' refers to:
A high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world. Participants use Global Positioning System (GPS) devices to hide and seek hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share their experiences online.

A) For your chance to win the family UK adventure Break, simply (1) find three UK geocaches, (2) log the found geocaches by signing the physical logbook in the geocache and submitting an online geocache log at www.geocaching.com, and (3) visit a participating retail store to try on a pair of Merrell footwear or receive a demo on a Garmin GPS to receive a code. Enter the code online at www.geocaching.com/itsoutthere

1a. The Promotion is open to UK, IoM, CI and ROI residents aged 18 and over only, except employees and their immediate families of Wolverine Worldwide Ltd and Garmin Ltd, their agents or anyone professionally connected to the Promotion.

2a. Closing date for final entry of codes is midnight on 31.10.10.

3a. To enter the Promotion, participants must log onto www.geocaching.com/itsoutthere, register their details and then find three UK geocaches, log the found geocaches by signing the physical logbook in the geocache and submitting an online log at www.geocaching.com. Participants must also visit a participating retail store to try on a pair of Merrell footwear or receive a demo on Garmin GPS to receive their qualifying code. The code must then be entered online at geocaching.com/itsoutthere to be entered into the free prize draw. No purchase necessary. Codes must be obtained through a participating retailer, either in-store or online:
i) Unique codes are featured on promotional cards in participating retail outlets. Participants must either have a demonstration of a Garmin or Merrell product in order to receive the code from store staff.
ii) Participating online retail websites will require the participant to watch a short online demo of either the Garmin or Merrell product revealing the code at the end. For a full list of participating retailers please go to www.geocaching.com/itsoutthere/downloads/Geocaching-Stores.pdf.

4a. The winner will be drawn on 03.11.10 at random from validly received entries and will be independently supervised and the Promoters' decisions will be final – no correspondence shall be entered into.

5a. The UK family adventure Break Prize:

Pullwood Bay
Three-night short break to be taken in any of Pullwood Bay's luxury 5-star apartments, subject to availability, to be taken within the next 12 months, excluding Christmas, New Year, Easter and Bank Holidays.

River Deep Mountain High
A family bundle of up to 4 sessions for 4 people. Choose from standard activities and spread them out over your break. Activities in our range include Gorge Walking, Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Archery, Guided Walking and Dinghy Sailing. You simply tell us the activities you would like to do and we work out a great itinerary for your break. Terms: The family must include at least one person aged 16 or under and any participants aged 16 and under must be accompanied throughout all activities. All activities are subject to a minimum age of Mountain Biking and Dinghy Sailing are available as part of the prize but may be subject to an extra fee. All other standard RDMH terms also apply.

6. Only one entry per household permitted. Bulk entries or entries sent through trade, consumer groups, agents or third parties will not be accepted.

7. Only participants with access to an internet connection will be able to enter this prize draw. Entrants will be required to provide a valid email address in order to enter the Promotion.

8. The winner must respond within 7 days of the notification that they have won a prize. If the prize has not been chosen or claimed within this timeframe then the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and re-draw a new Winner for that prize.

9. Proof of electronic submission is not proof of receipt of entry. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries delayed or not received due to transmission, network or software problems or for any other reason beyond the Promoters' control.

10. When you enter the Promotion online at www.geocaching.com/itsoutthere, an online profile will be created for you called "MY PROFILE". You must ensure that you provide a valid email address and mobile phone number for the online profile and are contactable at this email address and mobile phone number.

11. In the event of an entrants' mobile number changing or the mobile phone being lost, stolen or damaged, or an email address becoming inaccessible during the Promotion, we are not able to retrieve and amend any existing entries to a new mobile number or email address.

12. There is one UK family adventure break to be won up to the value of £1,500. Prizes can be chosen from the list of activities and accommodation provided in point 5a.

13. The UK family adventure break prize is for up to two adults (aged 18 yrs and over) and up to 2 minors (must be accompanied by an adult at all times). Prizes are subject to availability and any applicable age/health restrictions, and must be taken within 12 months of the confirmation of the prize. Accommodation, meal deal and travel may vary by prize. Any additional costs incurred are the responsibility of the winner and should be settled prior to departure. No alcohol included in any prize, unless specifically stated. See individual prize summary for full details.

14. Limitations of liability. Neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties (including, but not limited to, Groundspeak Inc.) assume any responsibility or liability for:
i) Any incorrect or inaccurate code entry, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions.
ii) Any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of codes at any point in the operation of this Promotion.
iii) Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of this Promotion.
iv) Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof.
v) Any injury or damage to participants upon delivery and/or use of their prize.
vi) Regretfully, we cannot be held liable for system failures on the website or at any of our promotional third party partners. Neither can we be held responsible for the failure to fulfill the obligations of any third parties involved in this Promotion, although we will always endeavor to minimize the effect to the participant of any such failure.

15. Conduct of participation. Participants in the Promotion agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the code redemption process or the operation of the Promotion or website, or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promoter to be in violation of the Terms and Conditions; or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promoter to be disruptive.

16. Each Winner assumes all risks inherent to geocaching, outdoor recreation and the travel experience. The Promoter will not accept liability for damages, injury or death other than caused by negligence or breach of duty of care by the Promoter. Each Winner and their guests may be required to sign disclaimers absolving the Promoter from liability to this extent during the trip. Each Winner will be advised of the physical risks involved with the trip and participation in the related activities before departure. By participating in this experience the Winner and their guests agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the providers of services and activities which make up the prize experience. Each Winner and their guests may be asked to sign a waiver by the local activity / service provider before participating, to confirm awareness of health and safety requirements, as well as any inherent risks in taking part in the relevant activity.

17. The rights of the Winner and their guests shall be against the provider of services and activities, and each Winner acknowledges that the Promoter and Groundspeak Inc. accept no liability for any aspect of the travel experience or activities. The Promoter cannot guarantee that the provider of services and activities will be able to perform any of its contractual obligations or that it will not cancel the trip or any of the included activities. If the trip is cancelled by the Promoter or the provider of services or activities, the Promoter will set up alternative dates in order to provide a similar experience of the same or greater value.

18. Should any Winner fail to comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange or drug regulations of the countries, as well as abide by the authority of the provider of services and responsible travel guidelines, or should they not advise of an existing medical condition, their travel arrangements may be terminated without any liability on the part of the Promoter.

19. Images of prizes or activities featured are for illustrative purposes only and may not be a fully accurate portrayal of the prizes.

20. No other costs will be covered by the Promoter other than those stated in these Terms and Conditions.

21. Booking of prizes is subject to availability and cannot be taken during public holidays including Easter and Christmas.

22. No cash alternatives will be available for prizes. Prizes are non-transferable. In the event of circumstances outside its control, the Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

23. By entering the Promotion, prize winners acknowledge that they may be required to participate in publicity relating to the UK family Adventure Break of the Promotions without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include, without limitation, the entrants name and/or image, statements made by the entrants concerning the Promotion and/or prizes and photographs or moving images of the entrants or their guests taken as part of the competition.

24. Any material created as part of the above Promotions shall be owned by the Promoter or the Promoter shall have the rights to use such material. Prize winners agree for the Promoter to edit, publish and use in perpetuity throughout the world all or segments of any such material in any and all media (including print and online) for publicity and news purposes.

25. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

26. Neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties (including, but not limited to, Groundspeak Ltd) assume any responsibility for codes damaged or defaced during the Promotion. If you cannot read your code due to a genuine manufacturing error, please contact the Promoter through www.geocaching.com/itsoutthere. Please include your name, email and full address details and a replacement code may be sent to you.

27. Winners' names and county will be available online at www.geocaching.com/itsoutthere for a minimum period of 3 months after the closing dates.

28. After the end of the promotions the Promoter would like to keep entrants informed of similar products and services. By entering the prize draw you consent to your personal details being used for this purpose. If you specifically do not want to receive this information please state it at the time or after registering via www.geocaching.com/itsoutthere. Your details will not be supplied to third parties for marketing purposes unless requested by you.
