The hill where this mark is located was overgrown with tall grass, and with none of the ties being particularly close, I had a bad feeling about this one. Then, as I was walking along the sidewalk below, I noticed a prominent wooden stake. I assumed the disk would be near by. It turns out it wasn't. The gentle slope made it hard to discern the exact location of the ridge described by BuckBrooke. After random wandering around the area, I stumbled on the disk. I would like to say it's the result of insight honed by eight years of benchmarking, but mainly it was just dumb luck.

Disk is 30 feet from wooden stake (which is leaning over and may not be there much longer).

Azimuth mark found generally as described. The Farmers Market is now Saveway Food Co. HH2 coordinates of azimuth mark 38 40 38, -090 12 23.7.

Found this one in good condition.

I found the station in good condition, as described. It is 0.3m below the grade of the top of the knoll, on the NW side, 15 ft. N of the ridge between the NW and SW slopes.

I found CSL-17, the main mark today. I took the lazy way out (automobile) and stopped on the way back from a birding trip to Riverlands (Alton Dam). A survey stake with some ribbon makes it an easy find. An easy off, easy on from I-70 at adalaide ave. Easy parking also. (Adelaide avenue should have a survey disk or some sort of benchmark and it does!)

A religious institution.

I found the azimuth mark for this but did not have a good approach plan for the main mark. Adelaide Ave is elevated over Broadway, thus I need to approach from the West via bicycle. I-70 complicates matters in that area also. Maybe on another day I will be able to reach the main mark from the Riverfront trail via bicycle....
