Easily found as described, in a grassy strip alongside what is now a car wash with some used cars for sale parked on the lot.

Azimuth mark may have been result of a sidewalk upgrade, including curb cut. Or it might be there under hard pack grass. No witness post.

Found this one in good condition.

A quick and easy find right next to the Interstate (I-70). The vacent service station is now a styling salon and car wash. I did not search for the azimuth mark as my passenger was getting warm and tired.

DESCRIBED BY MO DEPT OF NAT RES 1990 STATION, AZIMUTH MARKS AND REFERENCE TIES THE STATION IS LOCATED IN THE WESTERN ANGLE OF I-70 EXIT 243 ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WOODLAND AVENUE BETWEEN THE TOP OF THE EASTBOUND (OFF) RAMP AND THE WEST EDGE OF GOODFELLOW BLVD. IT IS IN AN AREA BETWEEN TWO ENTRANCES TO A VACANT SERVICE STATION ON WOODLAND AND ABOUT 60 FT WEST OF THE GOODFELLOW PAVEMENT. IT IS 55.6 FT (16.9 M) SE OF THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH BASE FOR AN OVERHEAD TRAFFIC SIGN, 48.99 FT (14.93 M) NW OF A CUT (X) IN THE WEST CORNER OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL BASE, 3.3 FT (1.0 M) SW OF THE BACK OF CURB, 2.1 FT (0.6 M) NE OF THE EDGE OF SIDEWALK, 2.3 FT (0.7 M) NW OF THE WEST EDGE OF THE EASTERLY DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE, AND 2 FT (0.6 M) SE OF A CARSONITE WITNESS POST THE AZIMUTH MARK (CSL-23A, 1990) IS ABOUT 0.3 MILES (0.5 KM) NE IN THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE STOP SIGN INTERSECTION OF GOODFELLOW BLVD.   • The horizontal coordinates were established by GPS observations and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in February 2000.
  • The orthometric height was determined by GPS observations and a high-resolution geoid model.
  • The X, Y, and Z were computed from the position and the ellipsoidal ht.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The ellipsoidal height was determined by GPS observations and is referenced to NAD 83.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
