125 feet west of center line of SW 15th Ave is a few too many, I think! It's closer than that. Found no probem, using gavinator's coords. Once again, I was benchmarking after nightfall, so couldn't get good photos of the surrounding area.

DESCRIBED BY BROWARD COUNTY FLORIDA 1978 FORT LAUDERDALE. THE BENCH MARK IS LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROAD 84, AND SW 15TH AVENUE. MARK BEARS 35 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE WEST BOUND LANE OF STATE ROAD 84, 125 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF SW 15TH AVENUE, 43 FEET EAST OF A CABBAGE PALM, SET FLUSH IN THE TOP OF THE NORTHEAST END OF A CONCRETE HEADWALL IN THE MEDIAN OF STATE ROAD 84. MARK IS A STANDARD BROWARD COUNTY BRASS DISK.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
