Avoided the sighns made the find

There is an access issue with this BM. I visited around lunchtime today. The gate was open and I was very tempted to make a run for it. But the signs with "No Trespassing" and "Violators Will Be Prosecuted" made me wary. Still, I knew I could drive in, reach the disk, and get out in 2 minutes or less. If I got caught, I could just play dumb. Moreover, I wasn't there to vandalize or steal. But just as my nerve was about to peak, two pickup trucks drove around me and thru the gate. The men in the passenger seats of both trucks took a long look at me as they passed. They weren't smiling. I chickened out and left the area.

pretty easy find but there are indeed "no trespassing" sign's on the gate that you have to go thru. didn't notice this til on the way out. fyi.

Easy to find, easy to approach. Enter agri field from point almost due south of position, about 500 ft. Marker in very good condition.

AGRONOMY WITNESS POST.

I found the mark in excellent shape guarded by an Arkansas Highway and Transportation GPS Witness Post and Sign. I parked at the NE corner of the Agri Park and walked through the unlocked Chain Link Fence gate along the gravel road to the mark. I missed the City of Fayetteville Benchmark and have concluded that it is to the North by another gate. Thanks for the information about the City Benchmark.

I actually found this one. The gate across the road leading into the experimental farm was unlocked, and we drove right to the station. I believe there might be access to the station via the north if one were to head south from the main parking lot. On our way out, we stopped and located the City of Fayetteville survey mark that had been previously recovered...thanks for the heads up!

I did not find this one. A locked gate in a chain link fence across the gravel road prevented me from following the access directions. However outside the gate, I did notice a City of Fayetteville disk with the designation of J-11. Photos and lat / lon are from the J-11 disk. The lat / lon are from my Brunton MNS handheld GPS.
