Found today while out caching also. Found in good condition. RussB80 and I were out together. I captured our GPS's in the pictures.

A fairly easy find, as other loggers have noted, though the walk up might wind you. We reported this to NGS, as that hadn't been done since 1996 monumentation.

Found off the side of the road and up a cliff. Had to walk around as it was a 25 foot wall straight up. Easy enough to walk around and I found the mark at the top. GPS'r said I was still 50 feet away but I saw it as I approached. As with must benches in this area there is a sign within 5 feet of the mark on a 4 foot pole telling you "Hey this is the Mark." in good condition.

This Benchmark is about a mile away from my house. I had a fun hike climing the mountains in the area. This my first find using geocatch.com.

Here is some pictures of the bench mark. (sorry about the size)

Photo taken facing generally north direction with Carefree Highway behind me.
photoAE4812_20040521_RoadsideZoom
Photo was taken standing next to the guardrail about 30-40 feet before the western end of the rail. Photo is zoomed and you can see the witness post towards the middle of the photo.
photoAE4812_20040521_RoadsideNoZoom
Photo taken from the same spot as the zoomed photo. However, no zoom was used for this one. You can still see the sign of the witness post towards the middle of the photo (albeit very small). The post is not the item sticking out of the boulder towards the left side of the photo.
