Saw this bench mark, but didn't find the cache.

We found a cache and a benchmark near by and so we decided to look over on the other bridge. Our luck paid off, two benchmarks by the cache.

Found the mark over by the geocache a few of weeks ago. While logging that one I seen this one was very close. Took a look today after enjoying a burrito.

Missed the nearby geocache, took this as a consolation prize. Almost no change in appearance from the photo uploaded here in 2003.

Found while getting cache here.

Right on the corner! Saw when Geocaching.

In the area tonight and dropped in to see the benchmark.

Found this benchmark while looking for a nearby cache!

Spotted while searching for the nearby cache. For gosh sakes we were up and down by this BM several times.

I found the benchmark but not the cache. Oh well.

AE5358 1947 Bridge #5197 Bridge on 7 over Minnehaha Creek

Found it near a cache so I thought, why not, let's log it!

All was well with the marker - found while searching for a nearby cache.

Ampersand pointed the benchmark out to me as we were combing the area for the cache.

Spotted this lonely benchmark while getting a FTF!

Quick park and photo, lots of people eating and watching, probably all wondering what I am doing...well...I'm (a) kidatheart

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in November 1999.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
