We came across this benchmark while we were working on the nearby multi-cache Riddler #1. This benchmark was easy to find and in great shape. Photo is included.

Found while out and about looking for artwork for a challenge geocache

Picked this one up as part of a Natural Resources assignment.

Nice orange arrow still pointing to it!

I found this one today without my GPS. I work in the LSC so I know the area well. Took a picture with my phone so it is low quality. I will bring a camera at some point and update the picture.

Walk by it nearly every day and finally took the time to log it...Thanks!!!

The last photographed disc is not correct; the stamping should be CSU 97, not CSU 2002. It looks like the disk has been replaced.

Yep. Coordinates were very good. This is a very well kept benchmark.

The construction is now complete, to the detriment of the benchmark. Could not locate it with the coordinates or with the description from the NGS. The area described has been recently sodded and there are flower beds with mulch so I think the marker has likely been covered?

Ratestes and Marmot

It's not fenced anymore. It was still marked by orange angle iron. And the coordinates in my GPS took me right to it for a change!

N 40° 34.558 W 105° 05.146

The benchmark is currently fenced off, due to construction in the area. I got about 5' west of it, and it was clearly marked with four stakes, each marked SAVE.
