AUGUSTINE, AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE POST OFFICE AT CENTRAL AVENUE AND KING STREET, 159.4 FEET EAST OF THE EAST CURB OF CENTRAL AVENUE, 12.0 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH CURB OF KING STREET, 85.3 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE NORTH ENTRANCE TO THE POST OFFICE, 9.3 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A CEMENT POWER AND LIGHT POLE 45 G 70, 2.3 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER, ON THE TOP OF A 5/8-INCH COPPER COATED ROD DRIVEN TO GRADUAL REFUSAL AT A DEPTH OF 48 FEET. THE UPPER PORTION OF THE ROD IS ENCASED IN A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.1 INCH.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in May 1994.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
