DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1963 0.95 MI N FROM ORCHARD. ABOUT 0.4 MILE NORTH ALONG A BLACK-TOP ROAD FROM THE SANTA FE RAILWAY STATION IN ORCHARD, FORT BEND COUNTY, THENCE 0.3 MILE WEST, THENCE 0.25 MILE NORTH ALONG A FARM-TO-MARKET ROAD TO BENCH MARK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF ROAD. 50 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF ROAD, 170 FEET EAST OF A METAL BARN, 30 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER OF A GATE AND 1 FOOT EAST OF A METAL WITNESS POST. A STANDARD DISK STAMPED A 804 RESET 1963, IS SET IN A 10 X 10 IN. CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 3 INCHES ABOVE GROUND.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
