DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1973 0.35 MI E FROM ROSENBERG. 0.35 MILE EAST ALONG THE ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY FROM THE STATION AT ROSENBERG, 240 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER OF THE JUNCTION OF OLD RICHMOND ROAD AND 8TH STREET, IN THE TOP AND 0.6 FOOT WEST OF THE EAST END OF THE SOUTH CONCRETE HEADWALL OF A LARGE CONCRETE BOX CULVERT UNDER THE RAILROAD, 39.9 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH RAIL OF THE MAIN TRACK, 57 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, ABOUT 9 FEET LOWER THAN THE TRACK, AND 2 FEET LOWER THAN THE ROAD.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
