ABOUT 6.55 MILES EAST ALONG THE MISSOURI-KANSAS-TEXAS RAILROAD FROM THE CROSSING OF STATE HIGHWAY 36 AT SEALY, ABOUT 0.2 FOOT WEST OF A DIRT ROAD CROSSING LEADING NORTH, 102 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH RAIL, 21.4 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ACCESS ROAD OF OLD U. S. HIGHWAY 90, 94.4 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE WESTBOUND LANE OF I-10 AND U.S. HWY. 90, SET IN THE TOP OF THE WEST END OF THE NORTH HEADWALL OF A 4-FOOT CONCRETE BOX CULVERT UNDER THE ACCESS ROAD OF OLD HIGHWAY 90. THE MARK IS ALSO 5.85 MILES WEST ALONG MISSOURI-KANSAS-TEXAS RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT BROOKSHIRE, 1.4 FEET ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE HIGHWAY AND ABOUT THE LEVEL OF THE TRACKS.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
