ABOUT 7.6 MILES SOUTH ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 77 FROM THE POST OFFICE AT LA GRANGE, ABOUT 0.2 MILE NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF THE HIGHWAY AND A PAVED ROAD LEADING WEST AND A GRAVELED ROAD LEADING EAST, ABOUT 0.15 MILE NORTHWEST OF A WINDMILL AND A GROUP OF FARM BUILDINGS ON A HILL, 48 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 31 FEET NORTH OF POWER POLE NUMBER 2-50 WHICH BEARS A TRANSFORMER, 20 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER OF A GATE, 1/2 FOOT WEST OF A FENCE, 0.6 FOOT SOUTHEAST OF A METAL WITNESS POST, ABOUT 1 FOOT BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE HIGHWAY, AND ON THE TOP OF A COPPER COATED ROD WHICH PROJECTS 1 INCH AND IS PROTECTED BY A 6-INCH METAL PIPE WHICH PROJECTS 2 INCHES. Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
