DESCRIBED BY US DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE 1959 0.9 MI S FROM JOLIET. 0.9 MILE SOUTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 29 FROM THE GRADE SCHOOL AT JOLIET, CALDWELL COUNTY, 5.6 MILES NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 80 AT LULING, AT A CONCRETE CULVERT, IN THE TOP OF THE NORTH END OF THE EAST HEADWALL, 15 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND ABOUT 1 FOOT HIGHER THAN THE HIGHWAY. NOTE-- THE MARK IS 133 FEET NORTH-NORTHWEST OF THE INTERSECTING CENTERLINES OF THE NORTH-NORTHWEST-AND-SOUTH-SOUTHEAST HIGHWAY AND A FARM ROAD TO THE NORTHEAST, 152 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF THE WEST POINT OF A GROUP OF TREES, AND 80 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTH POINT OF A GROUP OF TREES.

  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.) The vertical order pertains to the superseded datum.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
