Could not locate marker. I only had a few minutes to look around and the grass in this area was knee deep. I'm sure the marker is still there, but this search needs to be done in the winter or after the grass has been mowed.

I did locate the azimuth marker and have uploaded a photo. This one is easy to find. Its on the east side of the highway in front of an auto parts store about a half mile north of the state line. The marker is on a concrete post about one foot tall and is visible from the highway.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in December 1992.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.) The vertical order pertains to the superseded datum.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
