AT BEAUMONT, ABOUT 0.35 MILE SOUTHWEST ALONG THE KANSAS CITY SOUTHERN RAILROAD FROM THE SOUTHWEST END OF THE RAILROAD BRIDGE OVER THE NECHES RIVER, 34.7 FEET WEST OF THE WEST CORNER OF A NEW 4-LANE CONCRETE UNDERPASS BETWEEN ORLEANS AND PARKSTREET, 42 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF PARK STREET WHICH DEAD ENDS AT THE RAILROAD, 45.2 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL OF THE MAIN TRACK, 30.8 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL OF A SIDE TRACK, 16.6 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTH CORNER OF A METAL SIGNAL CONTROL BOX, 5.6 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST EDGE OF A CONCRETE SIDEWALK, IN A NARROW ISLAND PLANTED WITH AZEALA BUSHES, 1.1 FEET NORTHWEST OF A METAL WITNESS POST, AND IS A DISK ON THE TOP OF A COPPER COATED STEEL ROD THAT IS ENCASED IN A 6 INCH METAL PIPE 1 INCH BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE GROUND. Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
