DESCRIBED BY GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION 1984 (WRN) THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 3.85 KM (2.4 MI) EAST-SOUTHEAST FROM GLENNVILLE, 27.2 KM (16.9 MI) NORTH-NORTHWEST FROM LUDOWICI, AND 31.55 KM (19.6 MI) NORTH-NORTHEAST FROM ODUM. OWNERSHIP--STATE RIGHT OF WAY. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAYS 25, 301, AND STATE ROUTES 23 AND 144 IN GLENNVILLE, GO EAST-SOUTHEAST ALONG STATE ROUTE 144 FOR 2 KM (1.25 MI) TO THE GEORGIA NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY ON THE RIGHT. CONTINUE GOING EAST-SOUTHEAST ALONG STATE ROUTE 144 FOR 2.3 KM (1.45 MI) TO THE STATION ON THE RIGHT. THE STATION IS A STANDARD GADT DISK STAMPED---132-206 1984 AZ MK---, SET INTO THE TOP OF A ROUND CONCRETE MONUMENT 30.5 CM IN DIAMETER, AND FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND. IT IS LOCATED 5.15 METERS (16.9 FT) SOUTH FROM THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 16.82 METERS (55.2 FT) SOUTH-SOUTHEAST FROM THE EAST END OF A 24 INCH CONCRETE PIPE UNDER A DRIVEWAY TO THE NORTH, AND 0.73 METER (2.4 FT) EAST FROM A METAL WITNESS POST. THE UNDERGROUND STATION IS A STANDARD GADT DISK STAMPED---132-206 1984 AZ MK---, SET IN AN IRREGULAR MASS OF CONCRETE 0.91 METER BELOW THE SURFACE. COUNTY ROAD NUMBERS OBTAINED FROM--GENERAL HIGHWAY MAP TATTNALL COUNTY GEORGIA 1976. REVISED OCTOBER 1976. DESCRIBED BY P.R. MILTON.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in September 1997. No horizontal observational check was made to the station.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
