01/01/1918 by CGS (MONUMENTED)
DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1918 (JSB) ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE MACON, DUBLIN AND SAVANNAH RAILWAY AT JEFFERSONVILLE, 325 FEET WEST OF TWIGGS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 90 FEET FROM NORTH RAIL. ARE ACCORDING TO NOTES 1A AND 7C. REFERENCE MARK = A-27, NOTE 11A, IS 23.506 METERS (77.12 FEET) FROM STATION IN GRID AZIMUTH 326 DEG 38 MIN.
01/01/1934 by CGS (MARK NOT FOUND)
RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 IN 1922 NEITHER STATION NOR REFERENCE MARK COULD BE LOCATED, AND IN 1934 STATION WAS REPORTED DESTROYED AND REFERENCE MARK COULD NOT BE LOCATED.
01/01/1949 by CGS (MARK NOT FOUND)
RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1949 (CMT) THE STATION WAS REPORTED IN 1934 AS DESTROYED AND THIS IS APPARENTLY TRUE. THE APPROXIMATE LOCATION OF THE REFERENCE MARK WHICH IS NUMBERED ONLY AS B.M. A 27 WAS LOOKED OVER WITHOUT POSITIVE RESULT.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in September 1997.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in 1992. * This is a POSTED BENCH MARK height. Code B indicates a distribution rate of 1.1 thru 2.0 mm/km.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
