Good condition. There is a survey marker sign marking the location of the benchmark.

Found as described, in good condition but about 200 feet SSW from the adjusted position on the datasheet. My GPSr position is included in this entry.

View to the SW, mark in the foreground just to the right of the witness post and indicated by the notebook. The electrical supply company building is visible in the background. There is about a 15 foot drop just beyond the mark and the railing down to the building parking lot.

Benchmark itself is in good condition. The top of the pipe that surrounds it has been chipped probably by lawn mower blades.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
