DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1957 IN FORT WORTH. ABOUT 0.7 MILE NORTHEAST OF THE COUNTY COURT HOUSE IN FORT WORTH IN THE CONCRETE FOUNDATION OF THE C.R.I. AND G.R.R. UNDERPASS AT BELKNAP ABOUT 1/4 OF THE DISTANCE FROM THE NORTHEAST END OF THE STREET OVERPASS AND IN THE TOP OF THE CONCRETE FOUNDATION OF THE SECOND COLUMN SOUTH OF THE NORTHEAST END. A STANDARD DISK STAMPED 4751 1947. TO REACH FROM THE COUNTY COURT HOUSE. GO NORTHEAST OF BELKNAP 0.6 MILE TO THE WEST END OF THE STREET OVERPASS. TURN LEFT AND GO NORTH TWO BLOCKS TO PEACH STREET. THEN TURN RIGHT AND GO EAST ACROSS THE FIRST TRACKS ABOUT 2 BLOCKS TO WILDERMAN STREET. THEN TURN RIGHT AND GO SOUTH TO THE END OF THE STREET AT THE TRACKS. THE MARK IS ABOUT SOUTHEAST 30 YARDS FROM THIS POINT.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
