DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1952 1.25 MI NW FROM ARLINGTON. 0.9 MILE NORTH ALONG NORTH CENTER STREET FROM THE ARLINGTON STATE BANK AT ARLINGTON, THENCE 0.35 MILE WEST ALONG RANDOL MILL STREET, AT THE PULLEY AIRPORT, 185 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE EAST HANGAR, 67 FEET EAST OF THE EAST EDGE OF THE EAST RUNWAY, 3.5 FEET WEST OF A WIND SOCK, 3 FEET EAST OF A WITNESS POST, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 0.2 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND. NOTE-- THE AIRPORT HAS BEEN ABANDONED AND ALL THE BUILDINGS REMOVED.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
