This location is going through a great deal of construction, the mark is gone, and a pavestone walk is in its place.

Proximity to the curb can be seen.

I found the station in good condition, as described. I have photos which are not better than those posted below. My handheld coordinates are as listed below.

Mark is on the southeast corner of the intersection, south of the utility pole. Cover is missing.

GPS coordinates were very close for this one. Closer than many benchmarks.

The station is in the northwest corner of the parking lot of ''Kar Lynn Arts'', a few feet south of a utility pole. Easy to find.

Coords were off on the other side of the building. The train that came wizzing by, scared one of the boys while I was taking photo.

This point was NOT where the coordinates above say it should be. There is a piece of railroad rail driven into the ground at the coordinates above.

The actual pin and cover are at the coordinates I entered in this log.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
