DESCRIBED BY DEFENSE MAP AGENCY 1966 T-7-S. R-7-E. IN SECTION 34 NEAR THE SOUTHEAST CORNER. THE STATION MARK IS A CORPS OF ENGINEERS, U.S. ARMY DISK CENTERED IN THE TOP OF A ROUND CONCRETE POST 8 INCHES IN DIAMETER PROJECTING 0.3 FOOT ABOVE THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND. THE MARK IS STAMPED--AN 52 1966 ARMY MAP SERVICE. THE STATION MARK IS LOCATED 104 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF NORTH-SOUTH ROAD. 141 FEET WEST OF THE NORTH-SOUTH POWERLINE. 192 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF AN ABANDONED EAST-WEST IRRIGATION DITCH. 215 FEET NORTH OF EAST-WEST POWERLINE. 245 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF EAST-WEST ROAD. TO REACH FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE ROUTES 84 AND 93 IN CASA GRANDE, ARIZONA GO SOUTHEAST ON 84 AND 93 FOR 10.2 MILES (TOLTEC). TURN RIGHT AND GO SOUTH ON TOLTEC HIGHWAY FOR 2.0 MILES TO CROSSROAD. TURN LEFT AND GO EAST FOR 1.0 MILE TO THE STATION SITE.

RECOVERY NOTE BY ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION 1975 6.15 MI NW FROM ELOY. FROM MILEPOST 205, I-10, EAST ON THE INTERSTATE FOR 0.1 MILES. THENCE PACK SOUTH ABOUT 900 FT. AND TO THE STATION. 300 FT. NORTH OF BATTAGLIA ROAD. AN ARMY MAP SERVICE BRASS CAP, SET IN A 10 IN. CONCRETE POST, UP 0.1 FT., AND SUROUNDED BY A 10 IN. CONCRETE MONUMENT AND FLANKED ON 4 SIDES BY 25 FT. CONCRETE PETALS.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in August 1993.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.) The vertical order pertains to the superseded datum.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
