7.2 MI N FROM AJO. 6.6 MILES NORTH ALONG THE TUCSON, CORNELIA AND GILA BEND RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT AJO, THENCE 0.6 MILE SOUTHWEST CROSS-COUNTRY THROUGH AJO AIRPORT, AT THE CONTROL TOWER, 54.5 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE BONANZA AIRLINES BUILDING, 11.0 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE CONCRETE BASE OF THE TOWER STEPS, 2.5 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTHEAST LEG OF THE TOWER, ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE CONCRETE APRON, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.3 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.

THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE AJO AIRPORT APPROXIMATELY 10 KILOMETERS NORTH OF AJO AND 1 KILOMETER EAST OF STATE ROAD 85. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE STOPLIGHT AT THE PLAZA, IN AJO, GO 6.9 MILES NORTH ALONG STATE ROAD 85 TO A SIDE ROAD RIGHT (MEAD ROAD), TURN RIGHT AND GO 2.0 MILES, EASTERLY AND SOUTHERLY, TO A CROSSROAD. TURN RIGHT AND GO 0.4 MILE WESTERLY TO A T JUNCTION NEAR THE EDGE OF THE PARK- ING APRON. TURN RIGHT AND GO 0.03 MILE NORTHERLY, TO THE STATION. THE STATION MARK, A STANDARD NGS DISK STAMPED ''X 332 1953'' IS SET ON THE TOP OF A CONCRETE MONUMENT THAT PROJECTS 8 CENTIMETERS ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS ABOUT 39.2 METERS SOUTH OF THE ''L'' JUNCTION IN THE PARKING APRON; 31.2 METERS NORTH OF A 0.9 X 0.3 METER CONCRETE PIER THAT PROJECTS 1 METER, 30.2 METERS SOUTH OF THE EDGE OF THE NORTHERLY APRON; 25.1 METERS SOUTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST EDGE OF THE MAIN PARK- ING APRON AND 1 METER NORTHWEST OF A DMA METAL WITNESS POST.
- The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
